Aamir Khan scared of making ‘Mahabharata’ after watching ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ boycott? Said- ‘Making this film is yagya’
A few years back, there was news about Aamir Khan that he wants to make a film on Mahabharata and is contemplating it for a long time. Aamir had told in many of his interviews at that time that apart from Krishna, he is very much influenced by Karna. He is confused between Krishna and Karna on which character he wants to play on screen. However, there is no news about the development of this film for a long time. Aamir’s ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is going to release in theaters on Friday. During this, Aamir also talked about ‘Mahabharata’.
What will make ‘Mahabharata’
Aamir left the Rakesh Sharma biopic in 2018 for ‘Mahabharat’. There was a report that the budget of ‘Mahabharata’ would be around 1000 crores. Talking to Galatta Plus on this dream project, Aamir said, ‘When you are making a film on Mahabharata, you are not just making a film, you are doing a yagya. It is not just a film, it is much more. That’s why I’m not ready for it yet. I’m afraid to do it. Mahabharat will never disappoint you but you can disappoint Mahabharat.’
Aamir’s dream project
Aamir had earlier told news agency PTI, ‘It is one of my wishes. It’s a huge project. If I decide today that I am making this I will have to give it 20 years so I am scared. If I say yes and decide to make it, then it will take five years just to research and then to complete it.
Will compete with Akshay Kumar
Aamir is currently busy promoting ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. There is a continuous boycott trend going on against the film. Apart from Aamir, it stars Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya. The film is directed by Advait Chandan. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ will also release on August 11 along with ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’.
