Aditya Narayan calls out singers who complain of abuse by music labels: Why do you still work with them?

Of late, most of the singers are found criticizing music labels and condemning how they manipulate artistes. However, singer Aditya Narayan Jha calls out people who “criticize first and then become part of the same corporation”.

“So why did you work with them (music labels) at all? Why were you their slave? At first he did not say anything because he was getting opportunities. Later, when you face a problem, negativity sets in,” he says.
According to him, a problem arises when the majority agrees to a proposal but one artist disagrees, hindering progress until then. “By doing this, you destroy the efforts of 99 singers. Their professionalism, their integrity, everything goes to waste,” said Narayan.
The singer also spoke about the practice of having 10 artistes sing a song before finalizing it, which later becomes the norm.
“Who’s to blame for that? Of course, the singers who surrender. If everybody puts their foot down, and says, ‘If you want me to sing, I’ll sing, otherwise I won’t come’, things Will be very different,” he says.
Ask her why she feels there’s a lack of unanimity in the music industry, and the singer says it stems from necessity. He said, “Ve main garib hoon, mere ghar par paisa nahi hai, yeh nahi jaye toh main kara gaya kyunki mujhe paisa chahiye as reasons tell. And I think that’s fair enough. I can’t take it any further because I’ve never gone through a time where there’s no food on the table. I didn’t see that poverty, so I can’t comment on their behalf. But at the end of the day, it’s detrimental to the industry as a whole.”
