Apple MacBook Air with M2 chip to be available globally from July 15

New Delhi . Apple on Wednesday announced that its all-new MacBook Air with M2 will be available for pre-order from July 8 and will reach customers worldwide on July 15. The MacBook Air with M2 is available in Starlight, Silver and Space Gray finishes. Starts at Rs 119,900 for general consumers and Rs 109,900 for students.
The MacBook Air features a massive 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, 1080p FaceTime HD camera, four-speaker sound system, up to 18 hours of battery life and MagSafe charging.
With a durable, all-aluminum unibody enclosure, it’s only 11.3 millimeters thinner, weighs just 2.7 pounds and cuts volume by 20 percent compared to the previous generation.
MagSafe gives users a dedicated charging port that is easy to connect while protecting the MacBook Air when plugged in.
The MacBook Air also has two Thunderbolt ports for connecting a variety of accessories, and a 3.5mm audio jack for high-impedance headphones, the company said.
Additionally, the Magic Keyboard features a full-height function row and a massive, industry-leading Force Touch trackpad with Touch ID.
The new MacBook Air features a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, which has been angled up and around the camera to make room for the menu bar.
With 500 nits brightness, it is 25 percent brighter than before. The MacBook Air now supports 1 billion colors, so photos and movies look incredibly vibrant.
The MacBook Air includes a new 1080p FaceTime HD camera with twice the resolution and low-light performance of the previous generation.
The MacBook Air also has a four-speaker sound system.
With the M2, the MacBook Air has a more powerful 8-core CPU and up to 10-core GPU, allowing users to get things done faster.
With an integrated memory bandwidth of 100Gb/s and support for up to 24Gb of faster integrated memory, it can handle even larger and more complex workloads.
According to the company, the MacBook Air supports up to 50 percent fast charging in just 30 minutes with the optional 67W USB-C power adapter.
