Ashish Vidyarthi on divorce from Peelu after marrying Rupali Baruah: ‘Age doesn’t matter my friend’

Actor Ashish Vidyarthi recently clarified on social media about his personal life after tying the knot. He married Rupali Baruah in Kolkata on Thursday. He posted a video explaining his divorce from his first wife Peelu Vidyarthi and also talked about meeting Rupali after the divorce. Ashish talks about divorce for the first time

He said, “We all want to be happy. So, about 22 years ago, Peelu and I met and we got married, and it was a wonderful one. We had Arth who is now 22, and he is working. But, somehow, for the last two years, Peelu and I found that after this beautiful innings that we played together, we realized that the way we looked at the future was a little different from each other. Yes, we tried our best, if we can resolve the differences, but then we found that differences can be resolved but it will be in a way that one of us will impose on the other and that will take away the happiness. Happiness is all we want, isn’t it?”

“So, at that point, we both sat down together and said we’ll do it amicably. If we can’t go together amicably, let’s go separately but be amicable. And, that’s what we did, With grace and a degree of ease, we parted. But, I firmly believed that I wanted to be married because I wanted someone to travel with. So, I literally put the word out into the universe.

Ashish told how he met Rupali

“I was 55 when I said I wanted to marry someone. And that’s how I met Rupali Baruah. We started chatting then we met a year ago. We knew something interesting about each other. and we thought we can move in together as husband and wife. So Rupali and I got married. She is 50 and I am 57, not 60 but age doesn’t matter my friend. Each of us One can be happy. Whatever may be our age, isn’t it? So, just want to tell you, let’s carry on with respect, how people are living their lives,” he wrapped up his confession.

Meanwhile, pictures from Ashish and Rupali’s intimate wedding are going viral on social media. Talking about their divorce, actor Peelu Vidyarthi, who is Ashish’s first wife, told Hindustan Times, “Yeah, we didn’t feel the need to tell people about it. We are not into media broadcast, PR and tell all. We both are good friends and we have maintained it till now. These 22 years were the best part of my life. If you ask him, he’ll probably say the same thing.
