Asus ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro Smartphones Launched

Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro have been launched in India. Both are gaming smartphones and are powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. These are paired with up to 18GB of RAM. Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro have a 6.78-inch full-HD + Samsung AMOLED display. It has 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support and exclusive ROG tuning technology. Both the smartphones are backed by a 6,000mAh battery and support triple rear camera setup.

Asus ROG Phone 6 71,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. There itself ROG Phone 6 Pro 89,999 for the 18GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. Both the phones come in a single RAM and storage variant. Asus says that information about the sale and availability of these phones will be shared later. Asus ROG Phone 6 has been introduced in Phantom Black and Storm White color options while Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro has been brought in Storm White color option.

Specifications of Asus ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro

Many specifications are similar in both the phones. These smartphones, which come with dual-SIM (Nano) slot, run on ROG UI, which is based on Android 12. It features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,448 pixels) Samsung AMOLED display with 165Hz refresh rate and 720Hz touch sampling rate. Apart from this, there are features like HDR10+ support and peak brightness of up to 1200 nits. Both the smartphones have 2.5D curved glass protection with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and the display is powered by Pixelworks i6 processor. The Pro model also has a smaller PMOLED display on the back with ROG Vision.

These phones are equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, which is paired with Adreno 730 GPU. Asus has given GameCool 6 cooling system in both the phones. The company says that this is the biggest update of cooling since the introduction of the ROG Phone series. It is claimed that it improves the performance of the phone up to 10 degree Celsius.

Both the phones have triple rear camera setup. These include a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro lens. The front camera is of 12 megapixels.

Talking about connectivity options, these phones are equipped with features like 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and two USB Type-C ports. The phone also has an under-display fingerprint sensor. Their 6000mAh battery supports 65W fast charging support, although only 30W charger is available in the box. These phones have two 5-magnet 12×16 super linear speakers. Both the phones are water resistant and are rated IPX4. One major difference between these phones is that the Pro variant gets the ROG Vision PMOLED display on the back panel, while the Normal variant has the ROG logo.
