Indian Wrestlers CWG 2022: Indian wrestlers dominated the eighth day of the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Divya Kakran won the bronze medal in the women’s freestyle 68kg wrestling event of the Commonwealth Games. Mohit Grewal defeated Alexios Kaoslidis of Cyprus in the quarterfinal match to reach the semi-finals of the 125kg freestyle. Here he lost 2-12 to Amarveer Dhesi of Canada. After which he got a chance to get into repechage again. Then in the bronze medal match, he did as expected and won the medal after defeating the Jamaican wrestler.
Divya Kakran won bronze in 30 seconds
India’s 23-year-old female wrestler Divya Kakran gave the country a bronze medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games. In the bronze medal match, Divya hit the opponent wrestler Tiger Lily Cocker Lemalier in just 30 seconds. Earlier, in the first Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018, Divya also won a bronze medal.
