Happy Birthday Bobby Deol: See him adorable in childhood video with dad Dharmendra

Bobby Deol, the younger son of veteran actor Dharmendra and his wife Prakash Kaur, made his acting debut in the 1995 film Barsaat. The romantic film directed by Rajkumar Santoshi also marked the Bollywood debut of Twinkle Khanna. However, decades before he was seen on the big screen, Bobby, who turned 54 on January 27, appeared in a documentary titled Hamara Dharam (1975). It was based on the life of his father Dharmendra. On the occasion of Bobby Deol’s birthday, the Instagram account Bollywooddirect, shared a clip from the documentary, featuring Bobby, who was around five or six years old at the time of its filming. In the clip, Bobby is seen dressed in a pink gown and smiling as Dharmendra jokes with her. The father-son duo drank milk from tall steel glasses, leaving marks on Bobby’s face, and Dharmendra was seen pointing and smiling at Bobby before cleaning his mouth with his hands. Thereafter, Bobby is seen walking away after listening carefully to what his father told him.

The caption accompanying the video read, “Happy Birthday, Bobby Deol. Here is a clip from Bobby Deol’s documentary on Dharmendra. What are your favorite Bobby Deol roles?” The comments section was filled with fans wanting to know more about the documentary. One wrote, “What is the name of the documentary?” Another asked, “Where is this documentary available?” One person also commented, “Mention the source of the video. It will help people to find it.” Others just couldn’t get over Bobby’s cuteness in this short clip. A fan wrote, “Ahhh how cute.” Another said, “So cute.” One comment also read, “So handsome.”

In a 2022 interview with Hindustan Times, Bobby had opened up about missing father Dharmendra at home as a child. Bobby’s childhood was busy with the actor working multiple shifts on film sets and studios. Recalling that time, Bobby had said, ‘I used to miss him at home… Sometimes he used to take me to the shooting locations but was still busy. He would actually be working round the clock to build a beautiful kingdom for us. He used to sleep on the sets too.

Bobby Deol is married to fashion designer Tanya Deol. They have two sons – Aryaman Deol and Dharam Deol. Bobby was last seen in season 3 of Prakash Jha’s web series Aashram, which is slated to release in June 2022. His upcoming projects include Animal and Apne 2.
