Imran Khan’s close aide Shahbaz Gill arrested for sedition

Former Wazir-e-Azam of Pakistan Imran Khan close to niazi Shahbaz Gill Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and Prime Minister arrested for saying seditious things against Pakistan Army Shahbaz Sharif Swords are drawn again in the middle. Aarey news channel also closed
Shahbaz Gill had attended a program of Aarey News. There he lashed out at Shahbaz Sharif and said that Sharif tried to pit Imran Khan against the Pakistani army. However, Pakistan’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority has issued a show cause notice to Aarey News for broadcasting things which fall in the category of false, hateful and sedition. As soon as the notice was issued, the broadcast of a channel considered close to Imran Khan and his party was stopped. After some time all the programs of the channel were postponed and went off air. All this happened after Gill’s arrest.

Islamabad police arrested and interrogated
According to Islamabad police, Gill has been arrested for making statements against the government, government departments and inciting people to revolt. Describing the incident as shameful, Imran Khan tweeted that the manner in which Gill has been arrested, the arrest seems less kidnapping. It is worth noting that if the charge of treason against Gill is proved, he can be sentenced to death. There are also media reports, which say that Gill has also been assaulted during the interrogation of the police and the Joint Investigation Team. The police and the joint investigation team are trying to know who is the master mind of the August 8 Aarey episode, on whose behest there were attempts to revolt in the army.

Sword of arrest on Fawad Chaudhary
According to police sources, the police also went to the office of Aarey Channel in Islamabad and questioned the employees. Aarey channel news anchor Arshad Sharif has managed to escape from Pakistan. After Gill’s arrest, a case was registered against Arshad Sharif. According to Gill’s statement, Imran Khan is behind all this plan, the responsibility of which was entrusted to Shahbaz Gill and senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary. It is a different matter that trapped Shahbaz Gill and now Fawad is also under threat. After this dramatic development, clouds of uncertainty have started hovering over Imran Khan’s Lahore Jalsa on August 13.
