Pakistan News: A case of honor killing has come to light in Pakistan’s Punjab province. According to the information, the girl living in Punjab province was burnt alive. The only reason was that she wanted to marry the young man of her choice. The police gave this information on Sunday.
Police said that this is a case of honor killing. The incident took place on Friday at Garh Maharaja in Jhang district, about 200 km from Lahore. Investigating officer Mohammad Azam said on Sunday that Rajab Ali, along with his sons Jabbar and Aamir and some other family members, brutally tortured his 20-year-old daughter before setting the house on fire on May 26.
The police officer said that the girl wanted to marry the person of her choice. “A day earlier, she had left home and is said to have spent some time with the man before returning,” he added. Azam told that on her return, her father, two brothers and some women of the family tied her with a rope and tortured the girl badly before setting her on fire.
He told that the victim was taken to the hospital where she died. The officer said that the arrested accused have no remorse for their act and say that the girl has brought down the honor of the family.
Murder case registered against father, sons
“Before he died, he told the police about the people who set the fire,” he said. He said that the police have arrested the victim’s father, two brothers and a sister. A case of murder has been registered against the accused.
