TEAM INDIA RECORDS: The Indian cricket team once again performed brilliantly, defeating West Indies in a one-sided match. In the fifth and final match played between the two teams on Sunday, Team India defeated the hosts by a huge margin of 88 runs. With this, India clinched the five-match T20I series 4-1 and ended the tour with a win.

West Indies team piled on 100 runs

Even in the absence of Rohit Sharma, Team India did not make much difference and under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya, he made the Caribbean team all four. Chasing India’s target of 189 runs, West Indies were all out after scoring 100 runs in 15.4 overs. The spinners got all the wickets from India’s side. Ravi Bishnoi took four wickets while Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took three wickets each.

Indian spinners took all the wickets

The West Indies team had no answer for the spin of the Indian spinners and they completely knelt. Along with this, Team India also made a unique record in its name. This is the first time in the history of T20 Internationals that all the wickets of an innings have been taken by the spinners of the team.

Akshar took the wicket in the first over of the innings.

Talking about India’s spinners, Axar Patel gave 15 runs with a maiden in the bowling of three overs and took three wickets. He achieved success in the very first over of the innings and showed the way to the pavilion by bowling Jason Holder to open. Akshar bowls his first over wicket maiden. He then achieved the third success by dismissing Shamarah Brooks and then Devon Thomas in the same over.

Kuldeep and Bishnoi took seven wickets for 28 runs

While Akshar dismissed the top three West Indies batsmen, Kuldeep Yadav and Ravi Bishnoi combined to reconcile the middle and lower order. Together they bowled 40 balls and conceded 28 runs with a maiden over and took a total of seven wickets. Kuldeep made three for 12 runs in four overs, while Bishnoi made four for 16 runs in 2.4 overs.
