India vs Australia Women Hockey Semifinal Match, CWG 2022: In the women’s hockey of the 2022 Commonwealth Games being played in Birmingham, the Indian team lost in the semi-final match. Australia defeated the Indian team 3-0 in the shoot-out. With this, the Australian team reached the final for the fifth time in a row. Earlier this match ended in 1-1 draw. After this a shoot-out was played to get the result of the match, in which Australia won 3–0. However, poor umpiring was also responsible for India’s defeat. India had saved the first goal in the shoot-out, but then it was found that the clock had not started and Australia were given another chance. After this the Indian team went backward.
In this match, the Australian team took a 1-0 lead over India till half time. Rebecca Greiner scored the only goal for Australia in the 10th minute. However, after this the Indian team scored the first goal in the fourth quarter. Vandana Kataria scored for India.
