Inspector Avinash trailer: Randeep Hooda plays a cutthroat cop in this gory period drama

In the upcoming Geo Cinema series, Inspector Avinash, Randeep Hooda stars as supercop Avinash Mishra, who does not wait for the court of justice to decide anything. He administers his own justice to criminals and convicts, which involves a lot of blood and violence. His character becomes a one man gang who takes matters into his own hands. The series is set in the late 1990s and is based on the real-life exploits of Avinash Mishra, a police officer from Uttar Pradesh who challenges the arms mafia. Criminals fear encounter specialist Avinash, who shoots first, thinks later. In the trailer he says, “I am a Shiva bhakt. And I believe that luck favors the brave. Mahadev!”
There is a lot of action and a lot of violence when Avinash and his team deal with the goons with fists and guns. At one point Avinash looks at the camera and asks, “What do you think? Am I a hero or a villain?”
On YouTube, fans commented on the trailer for the upcoming series. A fan said, “Huda bhai…always amazing.” Another shared, “Randeep Hooda versatile actor of all time now I am happy that let’s have something to watch.” Another fan said, “Just looking at Shailin.”
Urvashi Rautela, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Shalin Bhanot, Freddy Daruwala, Rahul Mitra and Adhyayan Suman form the ensemble cast of Inspector Avinash. The series is written and directed by Neeraj Pathak.
Randeep made his OTT debut last year with the Netflix drama Kat. His last feature film was Salman Khan’s Radhe in 2021. He also has films like Swatantra Veer Savarkar and Tera Kya Hoga Lovely opposite Ileana D’Cruz awaiting release.
In a statement, Randeep shared, “As an actor, I am always drawn to real-life stories of unsung heroes. Mishra’s story is no less than a real-life modern Robinhood, fighting against crime and doing what is right.” Standing up for and I am truly honored to be a part of this heroic saga.”
The series Inspector Avinash will be streamed on JioCinema for free from May 18, 2023.
