Kangana Ranaut’s vanity van gets customized for ₹65 lakh; She wanted a ‘traditional’ Indian look

Kangana Ranaut’s vanity van is one of the costliest in the film industry, Ketan Rawal, the person who got it built for her, has said. Ketan said that Kangana’s van has been the most expensive van he has ever owned and that he always uses it. In 2016, Kangana told Neha Dhupia on her show No Filter With Neha that Rangoon was shot in remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh, where there were no restaurants or toilets, so she had to urinate behind rocks.
Talking to Dainik Bhaskar, Ketan said, ‘Kangana wanted a traditional look (for her vanity van). She wanted the van to be designed on the lines of her house. They have carved sofas, their chairs are completely made of real wood. Our priority was to make them feel at home in the vanity van. Kangana also chose the company for the Jet Spray used in her vanity van. 65 lakhs to customize my van for Kangana.”
Ketan also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan’s vanity van is so big that he cannot go everywhere. Ketan said that if his van cannot go to certain places, then his van always comes for Shahrukh.
Poonam Dhillon was reportedly the first person to introduce the concept of vanity van in the film industry. Sridevi, Anil Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan inaugurated the van. Recalling that time, Poonam wrote on social media in 2021, ′′ When I first started my makeup vanity van, I had no idea that I was creating history in the film industry. Many artists admire me and thank me for introducing the concept of vanity van.”
He had said, “I often faced difficulties while shooting at (outdoor) locations. There will be no place to change clothes, no toilet and no place to eat. The actors had to spend time on the sets amidst the sun and the filth.”
