Following complaints from social media users, the Mumbai Police has initiated action against actors Amitabh Bachchan and Anushka Sharma, who were recently seen riding different bikes but without helmets. While Amitabh took a lift from a fan to reach his place of work on Monday, Anushka Sharma along with her bodyguard rode a bike on a road. Amitabh Bachchan posted a picture of himself riding a bike with a man on Instagram. He wrote, “Thanks for the ride boy..don’t know you..but you obliged and got me to my place of work on time..to avoid the speedy and intractable traffic jams..thanks Capped, Shorts And the owner of the yellow T-shirt.” Reacting to this, a page on Twitter tagged Mumbai Police and wrote, “Lack of helmets for both rider and rear rider. @MumbaiPolice please take note!”

Responding to this, the Twitter handle of Mumbai Police wrote, ‘We have shared this with the traffic branch.’ Similarly, when a video of Anushka Sharma riding a bike surfaced online, a user tweeted, “@MumbaiPolice no helmet?”

In response, the Mumbai Police informed that the traffic police has been informed about the same. His comment read, “We have shared this with the traffic branch.” The official Twitter handle of the Mumbai Traffic Police was also tagged in both the tweets.
Amitabh was last seen in Elevation alongside Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Danny Denzongpa, Neena Gupta, Sarika and Parineeti Chopra. He will be seen in Project K which also stars Deepika Padukone and Prabhas. Directed by Nag Ashwin, it is a bilingual film, shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu at multiple locations. Amitabh is also a part of Ribhu Dasgupta’s next courtroom drama film Section 84. He will also make a special appearance in Ganpath.
Anushka, on the other hand, was last seen in a cameo appearance in the Netflix film Kala last year. She will debut in Cannes this month. Anushka is all set to make a comeback to films later this year with Chakda Express. Directed by Prosit Roy, the biopic is based on the journey of cricketer Jhulan Goswami.
