Raju Srivastava was born on 25 December 1963. Raju’s father Ramesh Chandra Srivastava was a poet. This confidence inside Raju came from his father. Although Raju wanted to become a comedian, not a poet. Raju is popularly known as Gajodhar Bhaiya. The style of his comedy brings a big smile on your face. Not only this, Raju is even called the King of Comedy. Let us tell you that Raju has faced many difficulties in his life. He has struggled a lot to reach here. When he was looking for work in Mumbai and there was no money, he used to earn his living by driving an auto. At the same time, Raju got a break only through a ride.
Started career in TV
Raju started his career with TV. He was seen in the show Tea Time Manoranjan. He was seen in this show along with Brajesh Harjee and Suresh Manon. However, Raju got popularity from the show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. By becoming Gajodhar Bhaiya, Raju had won everyone’s heart. He was not the winner of the show, but he had made a special identity for himself. Just after this, Raju never looked back.
Describing his struggle with comedy shows, Raju had said in an interview, ‘When I came to Mumbai, people did not consider comedin as a great actor. At that point the jokes start with Johnny Walker and end with Johnny Lever. At that time there was no place for stand-up comedy, so I did not get the space I wanted.
Seeing Raju’s popularity and talent, he was invited to the Bigg Boss show. He did not win the show, but entertained the audience a lot. Apart from this, Raju also entered politics. Raju was first in Samajwadi Party and then he joined BJP.

Raju movies
Raju started his career with the film Tezaab in the year 1988. Raju, however, had a cameo in the film. After this, Raju has appeared in the films Maine Pyar Kiya, Baazigar, Mr Azad, Aamya Athani Kharkha Rupaiya, Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon, Bombay to Goa.
