Redmi K50 Extreme Edition with 108MP camera, 5000mAh battery to launch in India on August 11

Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is set to launch in China on August 11. Xiaomi on Wednesday confirmed the arrival of the new Redmi K50 series smartphone via Weibo. Several posters have also been shared on the Chinese microblogging platform, revealing the design and specifications of the smartphone. Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The smartphone will feature a 120Hz refresh rate display and a triple rear camera setup with a 108-megapixel primary sensor. Holanpunch display design will be given in Redmi K50 Extreme Edition.

The new Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will launch on August 11. The launch event will take place in China at 7 PM local time (4 PM IST), according to a teaser poster shared by Xiaomi on Weibo. The poster reveals that the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will sport a triple rear camera setup including a 108-megapixel main camera. The smartphone has been seen in Silver Trace Shade. This smartphone will get 120Hz refresh rate display. There is also a hole-punch cutout in the display for the selfie camera. The Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is said to offer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Old rumors had revealed that the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will feature an OLED display. It will get a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. Apart from the 108-megapixel main camera, the phone can have an 8-megapixel sensor in the triple rear camera setup and a second sensor of 2-megapixel. A 20-megapixel front camera can be found in the phone for selfie and video calls. Bluetooth v5.2, NFC and Wi-Fi 6E can be found for connectivity options in Redmi K50 Extreme Edition.

Redmi K50 Extreme Edition will come as an upgraded edition of the company’s flagship K50 series. Redmi K50 Pro and Redmi K50 were launched in China in March. The first is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC, while the second is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC. Both models feature liquid cooling technology along with 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision 2K resolution display.
