Russia TU-160: India is going to get the world’s most dangerous bomber jet TU-160 from Russia, know what is the ‘white swan’

MoscowIndian Air Force (IAF) is going to make a big deal with Russia. It has been told by Indian defense sources that after getting approval from the PMO, the IAF can get Russia’s most dangerous bomber jet. This jet is Tu-160 and it is also known as ‘White Swan’. This jet is the world’s most advanced bomber jet and achieving this means doubling the strength of the Air Force. After the deal of S-400 and Hypersonic Weapon Technology with Russia, this deal also shows the growing relationship between the two countries. So far, however, nothing has been said on this from both the countries.

India’s first bomber
This bomber jet of Russia will be given to India, about this, former Air Chief Arup Raha had indicated in one of his speeches. He pointed this out while giving a speech at Chanakya Foundation and then confirmed about it. This bomber jet is a hypersonic glide weapon. It is called Toplov Tu-160. NATO named it Blackjack. According to defense experts, this is a supersonic jet which was designed in the year 1970.

It entered service in 1987 and became the last strategic bomber jet designed for the Soviet Union. The entire fleet of Tu-160 has been upgraded several times. Since 2000, many types of electronic systems are being installed in this jet. The first delivery of the upgraded aircraft was made in December 2014. India does not have any bomber jet yet and if the country gets this jet then it will be the first.

A bomber is an aircraft that silently drops bombs in enemy territory and returns. With its inclusion, it will be easier to do air strikes like Balakot. This bomber jet can fly at a maximum speed of 2220 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 40,026 feet. This jet can fly up to 12,300 km at a time. This jet can be flown at a speed of 960 kilometers per hour.

The 177.6 feet long jet has a wingspan of 182.9 feet and a height of 43 feet. The weight of the aircraft is 1.10 lakh kg. At the time of takeoff, its weight reaches up to 2.75 lakh kg. This bomber jet is flown by a crew of four airmen. The jet takes off with a pilot, a co-pilot, a bombardier and a defensive systems officer. It has a combat range of 2000 km in combat, which can be increased to 7300 km at subsonic speed. It can fly up to a maximum altitude of 52 thousand feet.
