New York-based Lucknowi Sam Haider is on a mission to make an anthology, the first of which he has shot in the US, the second in his hometown and the last of which he is all set to shoot again abroad.
On his visit to the state capital, the actor-producer says, “I have completednaferno paradiso before the pandemic in the US, and it also made rounds at various film festivals. I shoot in June 2022 Karonda Keema In Lucknow in which I played the lead role with actors from Delhi and hometown. National Award winning music director Bishakh Jyoti has given the score. Soon I will be flying back for my third film.”
He is keen on creating content that is international with an Indian touch. “Three films with different tastes will complete my anthology. I have tried to experiment by working in two different countries at the same time. In the US we have the agent system where you have to hire people and things work smoothly, but in India you have to do everything yourself from auditions to post-production, but it is very satisfying.
In 2021 he plays a second lead in an eight-episode series papa’s scooter Which is streaming on an OTT platform. “After my college in Lucknow, I went to New York for my Masters and realized that my calling in life was acting. Since then, I’ve done many Broadways including bonafide woman, one nation under God, cherry orchard like more movies mentor, larry bought a lemon Apart from hosting TV and radio chat shows. I also have a production house there.
