Sonali Kulkarni apologizes for calling Indian women lazy – ‘learned a lot from this incident’

Actress Sonali Kulkarni released a statement on social media after receiving criticism for her comments about Indian women. He had recently called Indian women ‘lazy’, which was not taken lightly by a section of social media users. Sonali wrote, ‘Dear all, overwhelmed with the response I am getting. I would like to thank all of you, especially the entire press and media, for the very mature conduct of associating with me. Being a woman myself, it was not my intention to hurt other women. In fact, I have expressed myself extensively time and again in support of us and what it is like to be a woman. I am grateful to all of you for reaching out to me personally with appreciation or criticism. Hope we will be able to have a more open exchange of ideas.”

“In my capacity I am trying to think, support and share warmth not only with women, but with the entire human race. It will be stronger only when we women, with our weaknesses and wisdom, stand together as fair and capable beings. Shine in. If we’re inclusive. And empathetic, we’ll be able to create a healthier, happier place to live,” she continued.

She also added, “Having said this, if unintentionally, I may have caused pain, I want to apologize from the bottom of my heart. I do not seek limelight nor do I want to be the center of sensational situations.” I am a staunch optimist and I firmly believe that life is indeed beautiful. Thank you for your patience and support. I have learned a lot from this incident.”

In a recent press meet, Sonali Kulkarni said, “In India, we often forget that a lot of women are lazy. They want a boyfriend/husband who earns well, who has a house. and her performance at work guarantees regular increment. But, amidst this women forget to stand for themselves. Women don’t know what they will do. I urge everyone to encourage women and make them self-reliant So that they can be able to share the household expenses with their partner.”

This video of Sonali has now gone viral on social media. He was criticized by Urofi Javed and Sona Mohapatra among others. Sonali was last seen in 2021 in the Whistleblower series on SonyLiv.
