AUS vs SL 2nd Test: Former Australia captain Steve Smith has returned to his old form in Test cricket. He scored a brilliant century on the first day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Galle. By the end of the first day’s play, Smith was unbeaten on 109 runs. Steve Smith has scored a century in Tests after almost one and a half years. This is the 28th century of Smith’s Test career. With this, Smith equaled the Test centuries of Joe Root, Hashim Amla and Michael Clarke. Not only this, Smith also left behind Virat Kohli, who has 27 centuries in Tests.

Talking about the match, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. However, the start of Australia was not special. Australia lost two wickets on the score of 70 runs. After this, Marnus Labuschagne and Smith took the team by sharing 134 runs for the third wicket. Labuschagne also played a brilliant innings of 104 runs. Thanks to the centuries of these two players, Australia have scored 298 runs for five wickets till the stumps of the first day.
