In this match, Joe Root and Johnny Bairstow hit the most Indian bowlers. Batting against Team India, Joe Root scored an unbeaten 142 runs in 173 balls at a strike rate of 82 in the second innings. While Jonny Bairstow scored an unbeaten 114 off 145 balls at a strike rate of 78. During this, there was a partnership of 269 runs between the two.
Virat’s bat did not run
In the fifth Test against England, Virat Kohli, who was called the former captain and run machine, did not bat. He scored 11 runs in the first innings and 20 runs in the second innings. Team India needed good runs from him but his bat remained silent. However, wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja impressed everyone.
