Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur will again play for Melbourne Renegades in the Women’s Big Bash League. The thirty-three-year-old Harmanpreet was the Renegades top scorer and most successful bowler in the WBBL last year. Harmanpreet scored 406 runs in the competition with the help of 18 sixes at an average of 58 and also took 15 wickets.

Melbourne. Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen playing for Melbourne Renegades in the second season of this year’s Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) T20 tournament. Harmanpreet, who has represented India in around 250 matches across formats, is an all-rounder and is known for her aggressive batting and effective spin bowling. The thirty-three-year-old Harmanpreet was the Renegades top scorer and most successful bowler in the WBBL last year. Harmanpreet scored 406 runs in the competition with the help of 18 sixes at an average of 58 and also took 15 wickets.

On the Renegades website, Harmanpreet said, “I am thrilled to be back in the Renegades team. I really enjoyed being a part of the team last season and I think it helped me play some of my best cricket. Personally, I just want to play my part in the team and it’s good that I was able to do that.” Batting mainly at No.4, Harmanpreet has led Renegades to victory on several occasions last season.
