Denesh Ramdin has been one of the most successful wicketkeepers for the West Indies.

Dinesh Ramdin last played for the West Indies team in December 2019. Talking about Ramdin’s cricket career, he played 74 Test matches, 139 ODI matches and 71 T20 International matches. Denesh Ramdin made his Test debut in the year 2005 against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

After retiring from international cricket, Dinesh Ramdin has made it clear that he will continue to play in franchise cricket ie T20 league. Announcing his retirement, he wrote in an Instagram post that retired but not out.

Dinesh Ramdin further wrote that it is a matter of great pleasure that I am announcing my retirement from international cricket. The last 14 years have been like a dream come true. I fulfilled my childhood dreams by playing cricket for Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies. My career has given me the opportunity to see the world, make friends from different cultures and still appreciate where I came from.

Ramdin further said that even though I am announcing my retirement from international cricket, I am not retiring from professional cricket. I will still be playing franchise cricket around the world, so please feel free to contact my agency.

He further added that I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have made an impact on my 14-year career, especially my family, my beautiful wife Janelle and our children for all the sacrifices you have made in my international career. Made to last longer.
