Twitter Users Faced Trouble: Twitter went down on Tuesday 9 August for thousands of users. There were thousands of reports about this problem on the Down Detector website. MacRumors reported that affected users were seeing a pop-up notice about the service being unavailable when they tried to access Twitter. However, the micro-blogging platform later informed that the problem has been fixed.
The Twitter Support Account acknowledged the problem of Twitter being down. He wrote, “Twitter is not loading for some of you – we’re working to get you back on your timeline ASAP.”
Twitter support explained why the problem happened
About half an hour after the problem was fixed, Twitter Support later posted a tweet saying, “We fixed it! We did an internal system change that didn’t go as planned, it has been rolled back. Twitter is now loading as expected. Pardon me!”
