Rohit Sharma: Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has given a big statement after the selection of the team of Asia Cup 2022. He believes that it is necessary to build strong bench strength (large group of alternate players) in view of the international level cricket matches being organized throughout the year. Apart from this, he also said about Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid that, both he and the coach have the same thinking and together they want to take the team forward.

Let us tell you that after being out of the group stage of the last T20 World Cup, India is constantly experimenting with the players in its team. In which injury and workload management has also played a role. Talking in a TV program, Rohit said, “We play a lot of cricket, so injury and workload management is important. In this way we have to ‘rotate’ the players. This (by rotating) however gives our bench strength a chance to get off the ground and play. That’s why we can try so many players at the international level.

The Indian captain further said, “We want to build our bench strength, we want to ensure that India’s future is in safe hands. That is the plan that we are trying to do.” Rohit is preparing to lead the team in the Asia Cup starting this month ahead of the T20 World Cup to be played in Australia. He said that as a team, it is his aim to get better every day. “I don’t know what to expect going forward but it’s about getting better every day as a team.

Shikhar Dhawan: Shikhar Dhawan’s statement on playing only one format for India, said- I am a burden on the team.

What did Rohit say about coach Rahul Dravid?

On the other hand, when asked about Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid, he said, “When he (Dravid) became the coach of the team, we sat together and discussed the plan to take the team forward.
